Want to know what to expect from this fun and spooky event? Check out some of the highlights you’ll get to experience when you come out for some fun.

Ghost Hunting

Never hunted ghosts before? No problem. Experts will be happy to teach you about ghosts, the history of the location, and how to bring the ghosts to you. Then, you will get to explore the jail, searching for ghosts. If you see anything, don’t panic. Lots of people have seen ghosts or other strange apparitions at this location, and they’ve all made it out OK.

Workshops and Vigils

If you want to lure some ghosts out of hiding, you’re going to need to be part of a vigil. With a guide, you can learn how to summon ghosts. Who knows? Maybe you’ll even get to talk to them. You can even learn about table tipping and glass divination if you want to delve a bit deeper into the world of the occult. Just be sure to keep an open mind, and there’s a good chance that you will see something spooky.

Sleep in the Cells

This jail was notorious for its hardened criminals, and many of them met horrible ends here. See, many years ago, conditions in jails were much worse than they are now. That means that there’s a lot of negative energy left from all those years ago. You can feel it in the whole jail, but that feeling is the strongest in the individual cells. That’s where the prisoners spend almost all of their time, after all. When you come to the ghost hunt and sleepover, you’ll actually be able to sleep in the jail cells. Just be sure to bring your own sleeping bag and pillow so you won’t be too uncomfortable.

If you actually do see a ghost, you may be so scared that you’ll want to get away from the jail as fast as you can. Make sure you have a new vehicle from McLarty Toyota in Palestine, Texas, just in case you need to make a getaway at the last minute.
