Seeking a spacious vehicle for fun, safe travels with a full party onboard? Whether you’re planning a road trip with friends or making room for a growing family, the 2019 Toyota Highlander has plenty to offer!

Room for the Whole Family

Minivans aren’t the only class that can carry a full party of family and friends, and this spacious sport utility vehicle accommodates up to eight people on its three cushioned rows. Everyone will enjoy all the legroom necessary to make a long trip comfortable, and even your taller riders will appreciate the abundance of overhead airspace. While your younger family members come aboard, you can fasten their car seats with two complete sets of LATCH connections in the middle row, plus upper tethers in the middle of the second and third rows. When you need to hit the broad with luggage and bulky travel gear, the Highlander can easily stow all your cargo in the back via its 13.8-cubic-foot cargo area. Whenever more space is necessary, you can fold the back row for more than 42 cubic feet. If you’re moving furniture or other cumbersome items, both passenger rows can be folded for a capacious 83.7 cubic feet of storage room.

Keeping Your Passengers Safe

Whether you’re driving solo or with a cabin full of loved ones, safety should always the top priority behind the wheel. Toyota thinks so to, so they’ve designed the Highlander to protect everyone on board and keep your family and friends out of harm’s way. The 2019 model scored reassuringly well in its crash and safety tests, allowing you to start the engine without worry. Toyota has equipped every 2019 Highlander with a host of standard safety and driver assistance tools including forward collision warning, lane departure warning, and a rearview camera. Some trims are also available with additional features like rear parking sensors and blind spot monitoring.

2019 Updates

For the 2019 model year, Toyota has made some aesthetic updates to the Highlander. On the SE trim, you’ll find an all-black color scheme across the fog lamp housing, taillights, headlights, and wheels. The starting trims now sport black side molding, and the upper trims come with brilliant chrome around the LED fog lights.
