Have you always wanted to take your family to the world-famous Exploratorium in San Francisco, but don’t have the time to travel all the way to California? You can get the Exploratorium experience in Palestine by going to Curious. This hands-on museum offers the perfect blend of science, art, and technology. It will pique your child’s curiosity, engage his or her creativity, and encourage exploration. What more could you possibly ask for as a parent? This museum has everything your child needs in one spot.

Exhibits at the Museum

The Curious museum has a variety of exhibits that your family will want to explore. Head over to the Forces of Motion exhibit to check out a wind tube, harmonograph, bubble screen, and more. Then, go to the Light and Color exhibit, where you will learn how light reflects and refracts and look through a human kaleidoscope. The Electricity and Magnetism exhibit is next on the list. It has a magnetic sculpture, pedal generation, and other cool features. Then, you can go to the Life exhibit and explore the giant microscope and the Garden of Smells. The Garden of Smells shows the link between chemistry and noses. If your child has an interest in chemistry, this is a must-see.

These are just some of the exhibits that you will find at the museum. Expect to spend quite some time moving from one exhibit to the next.

Tinkering Lab

Your kids will want to head to the Tinkering Lab after visiting the exhibits. Your budding inventor can stop here to tinker with ideas and come up with the next great invention. You never know what can happen at the Tinkering Lab.

Getting into the Curious Museum

The Curious museum is open for field trips during the week, but it is only open to the public on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It costs $5 to get in, and children under the age of 2 get in for free. Members also get in for free, so consider becoming a member.

The Curious museum will introduce your child to science and technology. You can also show your child the latest in technology by going to McLarty Toyota in Palestine, Texas. From the smooth engines to the cool features, these vehicles are technological masterpieces.
