Directions for Making the Cookies

The first thing you will want to do is preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper. You will then take a large mixing bowl and whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt together. Grabbing another large bowl, you cream the softened butter and sugar for about three minutes until the mixture is pale and fluffy. You will then beat the egg and extract into the butter mixture. Once you have mixed the egg and vanilla thoroughly into the butter mixture, you will take the dry ingredients and incorporate them into the bowl with the butter mixture in two batches until blended smoothly.

You will take the cookie dough and scoop 1-inch balls onto the baking sheets. Press a thumb into each cookie ball about half an inch deep. Fill the dip with the jam of your choice. The cookies will bake in the oven for close to 14 minutes or until the edges are golden. Allow the cookies to cool before serving. Grab a pitcher of milk and gather your family to enjoy these scrumptious treats. They are sure to love them.
