Are you looking for some fun Easter activities to do this month? Then you’ll love these super simple, Easter craft ideas.

Easter Bunny Paper Plate

This simple craft doesn’t require a lot of precision. You just need a lot of creativity and imagination which kids have in spades. Here’s what you’ll need for this project:

  • 2 paper plates
  • double-sided tape or school glue
  • pom-pom (1 for each bunny you intend to make)
  • Paper
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Any decorative material you can find (paint, pens, markers, crayons, etc.)

Start by cutting one plate in half. Hand over the full plate and the pieces of the halved plate to your little Picasso. Let them take their time decorating what they think the Easter Bunny looks like. Then attach the halves to the back of the full plate as ears. Next, crisscross the pipe cleaners across the middle as whiskers and glue on the pom-pom as a nose. Finally, cut out two paper circles to use as eyes and glue them in place.

Plastic Easter Egg Flowers

These two-step Easter egg flowers are so quick and easy to make that you can make several at a time. You can even make enough to form a bouquet of Easter egg flowers. The only supplies you need are pipe cleaners and plastic Easter eggs. Make sure to get the Easter eggs that have little holes in the bottom of them. To put your eggy flower together, open the egg and weave a pipe cleaner through the holes. Then twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together to form the stem.  You can follow the pictorial guide here if you need further instruction.

  • 1 small, white paper bag
  • 2 sheets of pink construction paper
  • 2 sheets of white construction paper
  • Scotch tape
  • Glue
  • 1 pom-pom
  • 2 pipe cleaners
  • Googly eyes

To create your puppet, cut the white construction paper into the shape of two bunny ears. Then cut smaller, pink ear shapes to be the inside of the bunny ears and tape them all together on the bottom of the bag. Next cut out two pink circles to be the bunny’s rosy cheeks and snip the pipe cleaners in half so that they’ll be the right size for whiskers. Tape the whiskers in place then glue the rosy cheeks over them. You’ll need one more pink circle to be the bunny’s tummy. Finally, glue the pom-pom nose and the googly eyes in place and your puppet is complete.
